Bob Jelly (John Howard) predicts a big future for the Barwon Heads
Football Club, flanked by club president Simon Lont and Denis Wall.

BARWON Heads Football Club has announced Bob Jelly (aka John Howard) the number one ticket holder for the 1999 season. Mr Jelly is a well known real estate agent and bridge developer in Pearl Bay. Club Director of Football, Dennis Wall said Bob was a man who has grand visions for the future of the town and the club felt it was only fitting to award him the top ticket.
Bob Jelly is the alter ego of actor John Howard who plays the character in the ABC series SeaChange. John said he was thrilled to be number one ticket holder and hoped to get along to the club's first game at Ocean Grove on Easter Saturday.
John is no stranger to the football field either. He played the lead role as a club recruit in the 1979 Australian film 'The Club'. Which ironically Dennis Wall also played a minor role in the film.
